WHO Global Malaria Programme convenes Malaria Policy Advisory Committee

The inaugural meeting of the Malaria Policy Advisory Committee (MPAC) – convened by the WHO Global Malaria Programme – takes place 31 January to 2 February 2012 in Geneva. Its remit is to increase timeliness, transparency, independence and relevance of its recommendations to WHO member states in relation to malaria control and elimination. 15 malaria experts will meet twice a year; policy recommendations will be published as part of an open access Malaria Journal thematic series.
