Dr Christian Nsanzabana: Exploring malaria drug resistance from different facets

In this short video, Dr Christian Nsanzabana, WWARN Scientific Coordonator, talks about why he is interested in antimalarial drug resistance and the ways in which WWARN are working to assess if resistance has developed outside of the Mekong region.

Parasites have the ability to develop mechanisms which allow them to evade our immune response and potentially acquire drug resistance. Christian highlights the importance of combining malaria drug resistance data from different research fields to help provide a fuller picture.
