Tribute to the Memory of Prof. P. Claver Kayumba, University of Rwanda

It is with great sadness that IDDO has learnt of the death of Professor P. Claver Kayumba, who latterly coordinated academic and professional education programs at the EAC Regional Center of Excellence for Vaccines, Immunization and Health Supply Chain Management (RCE-VIHSCM), hosted by the University of Rwanda.

Prof. P. Claver Kayumba
A strong voice in the field of pharmaceutical challenges and ensuring good quality medical products in Africa, he was recently appointed Inaugural Chair of the Board of Directors for Rwanda Medical Supply Ltd, a government-owned company working on essential medicine supply.
Prof Kayumba was key part of the Medicine Quality & Public Health Conference in Oxford in September 2018 and facilitated the attendance of a team of stakeholders from the East African Community. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this sad time.
