Sean joined IDDO as a Data Manager in October 2021. He works to transform and curate data sets submitted to IDDO and to preserve the completeness and accuracy of the data stored within the IDDO repository.
Prior to joining IDDO he worked at Oxford University’s Big Data Institute as a Data Analyst for the Global Resistance to Antimicrobials (GRAM) project.
Sean holds a DPhil in Zoology from Oxford University for which he created optimisation models for the management of insecticide resistance in crop feeding insects.
Cintia joined IDDO in 2021 to work with the Chagas Platform as a Scientific Advisor.
Cintia is a paediatrician and clinical pharmacology specialty doctor fully trained in Argentina. She is currently doing her Dphil in Clinical Medicine at the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM) as a part of CHARM: Chagas Pharmacometric Platform looking for pharmacometric determinants of treatment efficacy.
Dick is responsible for system design and development for clinical data exchange and maintenance between the IDDO data repository and other partners, ensuring the data exchange in an accurate and effective manner and conforming to the FAIR principles.
Jennie joined IDDO in May 2021. As a Data Manager, she manages and transforms diverse clinical and epidemiological data sets that are submitted to IDDO.
She has a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she expanded her knowledge and interest in nutrition and infectious diseases such as Malaria.
Stephanie Dellicour is a pharmacoepidemiologist. She obtained an MSc in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Amsterdam. Stephanie conducted her dissertation research on the development of pharmacovigilance surveillance systems for antimalarial drugs used in pregnancy. She was based in western Kenya for four years as a visiting scientist with the KEMRI/CDC research station, where she implemented and oversaw a range of studies for the Malaria in Pregnancy Consortium.
She is currently seconded by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to lead the MiMBa Pregnancy Registry. This is a collaboration between the Medicines for Malaria Venture, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicines and WWARN, which aims to generate robust data on the safety of a range of antimalarials, particularly in the 1st trimester, to inform regulators and policymakers.
Her main research interests include pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacovigilance, with a focus on pregnant women.
Sadie rejoined IDDO in September 2024 as a Data Manager. She works on the management and transformation of diverse data sets that are submitted to WWARN/IDDO and ensures the completeness and accuracy of data in the WWARN/IDDO data repository. Sadie worked with IDDO from March 2020 to September 2023 leading the curation of COVID-19 datasets.
In September 2023, she moved to the Department of Biology, Oxford University, as a Health Data Scientist where she worked on data systems in early pandemic response.
Prior to that, Sadie worked as a Senior Data Manager at the Primary Care Clinical Trials Unit, University of Oxford, where she was responsible for oversight of all clinical trial data collected in the unit.
Sadie has a BSc in Medical Molecular Biology from Cardiff University and a PhD from the Open University.
Kerlijn Van Assche joined the Medicine Quality Research Group as a research pharmacist in 2020. Initially she was trained as a hospital pharmacist and later obtained a master's in International Health in Charité's Institute of Tropical Medicine and International Health in Germany.
Previously, she was involved in research with the Antwerp Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) on data of QUAMED, a North-South Network that promotes universal access to quality-ensured medicines.
Before joining IDDO's Medicine Quality Research Group, Kerlijn worked as a quality assurance pharmacist with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) ensuring the use of quality medicines and medical devices in their projects across the world.
As a Data Manager at IDDO, Rupert is responsible for the management and transformation of diverse data sets for the organization. Rupert ensures the completeness and accuracy of the data in the IDDO repository, with a focus on malaria and Covid-19 research themes.
Rupert brings a diverse background to the role, having previously worked in the administration of clinical trials at the Ageing and Epidemiology Research Group and as a Sample Manager at the Forensic Toxicology Unit both at Imperial College London.
Prior to these roles, Rupert spent three years as a Quality Analyst in the pharmaceutical industry.
Rupert holds a degree in Biology with Psychology from Queen Mary University of London.
As a Data Manager Yurika’s main focus is on the management and transformation of the diverse data sets that are submitted to IDDO.
The data team transform, clean and analyse clinical, epidemiological, molecular and pharmacology data to ensure completeness and accuracy of data in the IDDO data repository.
Sauman joined IDDO in May 2019 as a WHO/TDR Clinical Research Fellow and is working on visceral leishmaniasis (VL) and scrub typhus. His research interests include pharmaceutical markets, alternative models of drug development and access to medicine.
Sauman holds an engineering degree in biotechnology, and two master’s degrees; one in public health and the second in economic policy. He has recently finished his PhD in economics, which focused on the access to essential medicines in Africa by analysing the market entry and operation strategies of Indian pharmaceutical firms.
